We've been fortunate enough to have a few visitors at the beach this Fall, which has been such a treat! We want to make sure that everyone feels welcome and has a great time so we pulled together a well-stocked (and coastal inspired) bar, along with a few tips to share with you!
Keep a few staple liquors on hand: Vodka, Tequila, Gin, and wine. You don't need a huge variety. Just pick a few that are always crowd-pleasers...I mean, our "crowds" are quite small these days anyway :)
Lay out essentials: And I do mean everything! Bottle opener, stirrers, wine opener, bottle stoppers, glassware, napkins, mini cutting board, bar wipe, whew!
Designate a place for wine corks.
And bottle caps.
Have a nonalcoholic option on-hand. There are a lot of people that either don't drink or are choosing not to drink at the moment, so be sure to include these friends in the fun. If you serve mineral water, for example, make sure that it is chilled and lay out sliced lemon.
Offer a signature cocktail. I find that a lot of guests are hesitant to make a decision before knowing what you will be drinking so I like to have something in mind that will be a crowd-pleaser. One of my favorites is a Blushing Poinsettia: champagne with a small splash of cranberry. CHEERS!
