A Love Letter to Atlanta

Someday, Champagne and I hope to live at the beach. In fact, we spend a lot of time dreaming about waking up to a beautiful sunrise, paddle boarding to our favorite lunch spot, and fishing (for Champagne) or yoga on the beach (for me). Until then, we plan to enjoy all that our town, Atlanta, has to offer. With that in mind, here are our Top 3 favorite things about ATL!

Home to Delta Airlines, the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport is located a short Marta train or Uber from our house, and we haven’t had a connecting flight in about 15 years! We can be in the Caribbean in 2-4 hours and have taken advantage of this many times!

There are some really amazing concert venues in Atlanta (State Farm Arena,Chastain Park Amphitheater) but our favorite is Mercedes Benz Stadium. In a city like Atlanta, you come to expect the best of the best and this stadium does not disappoint. The vibe is energetic, the seats are great and there are tons of vendors (and bathrooms!) We love going to football games but also have enjoyed learning about soccer while supporting Atlanta United.

We’re total foodies so we have a long list of restaurants that we love, (Umi Sushi, Bone Garden Cantina), but our absolute favorite is Le Bilboquet. A plate of cajun chicken and french fries may not seem that exciting but, trust me, you have to try it! Start off with the crab/avocado salad and don't forget a bubbly glass of Veuve Clicquot champagne!

We love you, Atlanta, and you will always hold a special place in our hearts. Walking around our neighborhood feels like walking around a beautiful park, yet you can see tall buildings close by that remind us of all the great things you have to offer. It is the perfect combination of city living with a classic suburban feel. We’re so spoiled with how centrally located you are which makes it convenient for visitors and helps us easily enjoy weekend getaways…if only you were closer to the beach! Until then, we'll just enjoy jetting off to beachy destinations.

Case in point:

Check out this lounge at the airport in Punta Cana.

Yes, that's a plunge pool overlooking the runway.

Yes, this is a mere 3.5 hour flight from ATL!
